Cosmetix 4 U is a small, friendly, family run business based in the “sunny” North East of England.

In 2005 we decided to invest £1000 of our savings into a business venture – we wanted to try our hand at the auction market. We could only have a very small product range so it was critical to find the best products at the best prices. After trading on eBay, CQout and Iboot sale for just under a year we had slowly built up a small but regular client base, but felt there was too much competition out there for little companies like ours and the fee’s were constantly on the increase.

So by the end of 2005 we decided to try something different. We started to attend local fayres, fetes, markets and car boot sales. Which were all very successful and enabled us to expanded our brands and colour selection immensely.

In 2006, I wanted to offer the option of home parties and women’s evenings so that we could reach a wider audience with our products. We had lots of interest but the more parties and events we did the more ranges we were able to carry and there we just far to many to stock and 100’s of colours. So expanded again but this time into selling bath and body products. This was one of Cosmetix 4 U’s best moves as the demand was so great and the products went down a treat – the children loved the fun bath products as well as the adults and the aromatherapy products were a huge hit.

This year (2007) we made the difficult decision to move away from the make up side of things and concentrate more on the bath and body products. Currently we are sourcing new and exciting products from around the world looking for something different, things that you wont find in the UK high streets.

In May 2007 there was an advertisement in the local newspaper advertising a shop for rent so Cosmetix 4 U decided to apply. After weeks of waiting in anticipation we finally received word back saying that our application had been successful. Throughout July and August we worked extremely hard to get the shop just right and we are now pleased to announce that Cosmetix 4 U is now based at 32 High Street, Spennymoor (under the Town Hall).
